Bratislava, 26-28 May 2017. Cook Communications provided public relations support to Saab during this year’s Globsec, the annual global security forum held in Slovakia’s capital, Bratislava.

Saab has been a partner to Globsec for five consecutive years, and this year sent a senior delegation led by President and Chief Executive Officer, Håkan Buskhe.

Michal Procházka, Terezie Petzova, Joe Cook, Łukasz Chudy and Darina Kahramanova from our Prague, Warsaw and Sofia offices worked together to secure coverage for Saab in Bulgarian, Czech and Slovak national newspapers, in the Polish defence media and in the international media.

Central Europe is an important market for Saab, where two NATO air forces – the Czech and Hungarian – fly the Gripen supersonic fighter, and where there are a range of opportunities for additional Gripens in Bulgaria and Slovakia, for the A26 submarine in Poland, and for Saab radar and air defence systems across the region.

Cook Communications has worked with Saab since 2005, and currently supports Saab in several countries across Central Europe.

Globsec is firmly established in the European security calendar. Now in its 12^th year, the forum contributes to the shaping of the European and trans-Atlantic security policy agenda, and is an indispensable meeting place of stakehold­ers in foreign and security policy in Central Europe and beyond.
