Poland’s Nobel Laureate

Polish author and psychologist Olga Tokarczuk has received the Nobel Prize for Literature, retroactively for 2018.  In her books, she plays with fairytales and fantasies, and myths and history mix with reality, writes The Wire.  “Poles know that without culture they wouldn’t have survived as a nation,” she tells The New Yorker magazine in a worthwhile long read.
