And though hundreds of thousands of refugees and migrants have tramped through much of the region, few want to stay.” Thus Balkan Insight, in a report on the alarming rates, and potentially alarming consequences, of depopulation across Central and Eastern Europe, especially Bulgaria, Romania and the wider Balkan peninsular.
